Letter update 12/17/07
The latest from his letter today...
Well, things here are going good. DJ Sir Vic was confirmed this week in sacrament. So he's doing awesome. Plus we should be having Xavier getting Baptized this coming sunday on the 23rd. He's the son of Tilda and Ramon Rodriguez, the couple that got baptized when i was with Elder Van Leeuwen. Another girl we've been teaching, Miranda Teague and Part member family, was supposed to get baptized then too, but they slept in yesterday and missed church, so we pushed her Date back a week to the 30th. We should be having 2 other people we've been teaching getting baptized then too, its a family from Liberia, they are also a Part Member family we just bumped into. so we should have 1 this next week, 3 the week after that, and 2 more the week or two after that. Those two are the son and daughter of an excommunicated member that is now repenting and coming back, and we are teaching her. So things are going way good. Plus we just started teaching a Family from Iran, they are muslim, but they are reading the Book of Mormon, and are doing way good, they came to church last week. The Lord is really blessing us with people to teach.
Seems like he is having tons of success. Thanks to all of your prayers and support. What a great time of year to be a missionary out there and serving around Christmas time as thoughts turn to the Lord.
We are also approaching the 5,000th visit to Mike's Blog. That's incredible. Mike has a huge network of friends and family out there keeping tabs on his mission.
