10/22/06 Letter Update

We got a couple of letters from Mike this week with a couple of pictures. It sounds like he is doing great. He helped some new members from Utah move in to a Rock Hill, SC neighborhood that is in his area. The story was pretty cool. The Dad wasn't feeling good about the houses he had been looking at, and then he was driving down a road and saw a "ray of sunshine" and these two missionaries on their bikes riding down the street. He honked and waved. They waved back. One of them even wrecked on his bike in the process. Yeah! it was Mike who wrecked his bike... AGAIN!! Can you believe that? How funny is that story. It's like an out-take from the movie called to serve with all the waving. So that makes wreck number two for him on his new bike. I'm going to have to send some training wheels in my next package.

Last P-Day, when he was writing this letter, he was on his way to teach a new investigator that requested a copy of the Book of Mormon. They were excited about that. He has one other that they are getting close to committing to Baptism. So they were pretty happy about that too. The leaves are colorful and it is cooling off enough to have frost in the morning, but he said it is comfortable in the day time. Those are the higlights for now.
