Happy Hump Day

WOW, Mike has been out a whole year today. That has flown by for some of us, dragged by for others. He has also been transferred. Not sure if you noticed just under his picture on the right is his address. For the last few days it has just said Transferred. Well, his new address is posted now, so if you are writing to him to wish him a happy year mark, this is the address to write to him.

Here is an excerpt from his last e-mail:

I am actually in the 3rd largest city in NC, its Greensboro, the big nasty. I am actually in an area called Guilford (pronounced Gillford) but it covers all of downtown greensboro. Its a small area, its full bike, but there is a good bus system here, which is cool for contacting. The area however is in bad shape. we really only have one solid person to teach and the area book is a mess, which i am in the process of fixing right now. plus we are going to be working on a pin map as well, since we don't have one right now. I am with Elder Simons, who has been here for 3 months so far, he's been out for 19 months.

So anyway, things are going pretty good here, just trying to get this area cleaned up and I'm trying to get to know the area as fasr as i can so we can get some stuff done. its weird being transfered to an area you don't know, to be the senior companion and district leader over a district that you don't know and who don't know you. it will definitely be an interesting transfer, but a worthy challenge, i'm excited for this transfer. It'll stretch me good, thats for sure. plus its a downtown area, so its going to be completely different from what i knew before, Lincolnton was such a country town and Rock Hill was somewhat city but it was pretending, really it was a country town in disguise.
