Hey Yo,
It was good talking to you on Christmas. It’s too bad we missed you by one day of the birth. We could have given you all the update the next day. Well, maybe not since we didn’t deliver till 5:13 PM. Anyway, that all went well. More smoothly than Brinlee’s birth did. Suzanne only pushed for 20 min. as opposed to over 3 hours with Brinlee. No forceps this time either, she just came on her own. Even though she was bigger than Brinlee. She was 9 lbs 11 oz. if you can believe that. And 22 inches long. She was HUGE! We named her Aynslee Alyssa Alexander. She is super cute too. I think Dad is developing some pictures to send out to you. So you’ll have to watch for those. She still isn’t sleeping through the night and probably won’t for a while. Since she’s a big bounder, she has to eat all the time. So she’s always hungry and night time in particular. The ward has been bringing over some meals which is great. I guess Staci is going to bring something over on Sunday and hang out with us for New Years Eve. So we’ll chill with Stosh and A-Jax for the new years party.
I am a little scattered in this letter and it will be a little shorter than normal because I’m super busy today trying to get a bunch of things done and helping with the girls at the same time. So sorry for the disorganization in this one. I need to get my Gospel Jeopardy game ready to go for my class tomorrow for our Sunday school year end party. It’s my last class with these kids and then I get a whole new crop of Honyocks next week. It’s just when I finally win the kids over and get attached to them when it’s time to switch kids again. I guess that’s the name of the game though. It’s always when you get your calling figured out and start doing really well that you get released and get a new calling outside of your comfort zone. My lights outside on my house, well, the one by my door anyway is busted. So I need to replace all 3 of them. I need to go to Lowes or the Depot and pick up 3 new ones and work the install today. I need to get my truck tested and licensed too. So I’m probably going to get to all that stuff right now and then when I’m in a better spot to write, I’ll come back and finish this tomorrow after my class stuff. It’s a big day for fantasy football too. It’s our last week. Then next week starts the playoffs so we won’t have fantasy to worry about, just good playoff football to watch. It’s college bowl games this week too. So it’s football heaven for me right now.
Well, it’s Sunday night at 8:22 now. I am 1 tackle by Lance Briggs from winning the league championship. It’s 3rd Quarter with 3 min. remaining. So I’m hopeful that I’ll get a few more tackles just to give me a buffer for insurance in case of a scoring adjustment or a hanging chad or something. I just have to hope that Briggs doesn’t get hurt or pulled or something. If he goes out, I’m dead in the water. But John lost again this week and we are tied record wise. But he’s ahead too many points for me to catch him, so I needed a win and a John loss. The Bears are back on D now, so I have to bird dog this and see what I can get from Briggs. Shoot, I’m not seeing Briggs in any more. It’s the start of the 4th quarter and it looked like Urlacher and Briggs might be sitting out. I’m down .5 pts. Right now and my game may be over right here. That would be the biggest heart breaker of the year right there if he’s done and I lose not only my game but the championship. Well, now it’s 10:11 PM. I just watched the Fireside with Pres. Hinkley. WHAT??!!! Are you SERIOUS??!! Someone tell me I didn't just miss winning the league championship for the second year in a row by .5 pt. I demand a recount. There must be a hanging chad somewhere. The Bears pull Lance Briggs out of the game in the 3rd Quarter when they see that I only have an assisted tackle to go to win the league championship. That is pure Highway robbery!
We don't cry over spilled milk in the Ghetto however. We just come back with our boys and get our retribution later. So look out next year! So there you have it. The closest photo finish down to the stretch finish I think we’ve had. Even closer than last year’s come from behind victory. It was fun anyway.
I got most of my busy work stuff done yesterday. I went to Sam’s and got all of our grocery shopping done. Then I went to Lowe’s and spent almost 45 minutes picking out our new outdoor lights I have to replace. Then I ate at Sampan with John. He treated me for Christmas. He’s actually up in Vernal meeting Lynn Marie’s family for the first time this weekend. We have chatted though about his squeaker win. Mom and Dad came over after that and we looked at your pictures for the first time. So that was fun. There are still some videos I haven’t looked at yet. So I’ll have to do that soon. I just put it all on my hard drive for now. But I’ll put it on CD to add to your collection. I stayed up till 2:00 AM doing my gospel jeopardy game for my last Sunday school class. I’ll have to rely on your honor system to time yourself no longer than 60 seconds per question. Grade yourself on the point system next to the question. Keep track of your score. The only difference is that you won’t have someone trying to beat you to the answer. Or you can keep this and use it or pattern a new one after it for a district meeting down the road. I used to make these for my District meetings I would plan just to keep missionaries in my district sharp on scriptures, discussions, study guide, etc. Let me know how it goes. I’ll check your answers next letter. I kind of dummied it down for 15 year olds, but they are pretty smart. So if you have an easy time, sorry, it’s for teenagers. If you have a hard time, shame on you, it’s for teenagers.
What else besides the fireside did you do for New Years? It’s 1:00 AM there your time right now. Did you stay up and play games or do anything? We had Staci and Josh over with A-Jax to eat dinner. Staci made that Zuppa Toscana like Olive Garden makes. It was good. We hung out for a bit, but they left kind of early for Josh’s allergies. Aynslee slept through the night, just waking up once to eat. So she is hopefully going to be a good sleeper like Brinlee always has been.
Dad is more than likely going to ask you about this, but what’s up with the picture of some dork missionary flipping a bird in the car? Who is that and what makes him think that’s funny and/or OK? It’s weird, I don’t particularly find anything offensive. I don’t understand curse words, why they are offensive, other than we are told they are. With the exception of the lord’s name or title being taken in vane. I don’t understand gestures either since they are just gestures. I have studied international words and gestures to be careful of for school and business reasons. I don’t know why bloody or bugger are the two worst words you can say in
K, enough about that. Needless to say, I won’t be posting that on the blog or anything. In that light, let me drop in the quote of the week here.

Well, like I mentioned, it’s 2:00 AM. I’m on page 7, so I feel good about the length. I’m going to go crash. I’m pretty tired. I wanted to write in my journal tonight too but I think it’s too late and I’d be incoherent. I’ll try to get to that tomorrow. How is your journal writing? Better since we talked about it at Christmas? That is your new year’s commitment from me. I’m still waiting for you to commit me to something. I think I dropped a commitment from you earlier that I should probably do. I think you wanted me to get a Preach My Gospel and I never did. But in our 5th Sunday lesson today, both of the speakers used that in their lessons. It had some really good information in there for their lessons, so if nothing else, it will be a good resource for lessons and talks and stuff in the future, eh? You still need to tell me if you had a little accountability check on other peeps in the family on their commitments. Or did you do that? Any commitments for them for the new year? I’ll help do some personal follow up if you want me to. I can ride people pretty well on commitments, so let me know. Tis the season for new commitments and what not.

I think I’m going to install my lights on the house tomorrow, so I’ll take some pics of that and send them out to you. I still owe you a bunch of pics. So I’ll eventually develop a mother load, get all of our video footage from Christmas and put that to a DVD, maybe just put the pics on the same DVD, that’s easy. Then send that out to you one of these days.
Well, Hopefully the work is progressing for you in SC. Keep working your butt off. The time is going fast huh? Your mission is already a quarter of the way done. That may seem like a while in progress, but that has gone fast to me and it just gets so much faster. Don’t let a minute slip past you. Your mission will always be the best two years of your life. Enjoy every last second of the two precious years. The best way to enjoy them is working your freakin’ butt into the ground with your companion. The best memories come from those hard working days. I miss it like crazy. I miss you like crazy.
